By Karli Currie It is that time of year again, no, not Christmas, New Year or your dear mothers’ birthday – It is Valentines day. Arguably one of the most ‘awkward’ giving days of the year. A marketer’s dream? Maybe… A ploy for florists around the world to make more money than they do for…
By Karli Currie Early January sees a lot of us lucky ones (who have taken annual leave over the ‘festive’ season) pack our lunch boxes and head back into work. The alarm clocks are reset and the coffee machines are cranked… But, is the party really over? No it isn’t! With the beautiful SA weather…
On Sunday, 11 November, the 2018 Elderton Tennis Classic enjoyed amazing spring weather for a great day of competition – the Barossa sure turned it on for visitors from across the country. Beginning the day at the Nuriootpa tennis courts, a round robin qualifying was held with 28 mixed doubles pairs battling it out….
By Karli Currie I do not think it is any secret that the Barossa community is ‘tight knit’ and the wine community in particular is always looking out for each other. There is no better proof of this than when travelling to events such as the Good Food & Wine Shows (held in Melbourne, Sydney,…
By Karli Currie With October being the ‘Month of Celebrating Eden Valley Riesling’ in the Barossa we thought it only fair to share some love for the unsung hero that it is. In 2017 the Eden Valley produced only about 1347 tonnes of Riesling fruit, so whilst not a huge production the wines are well…

Starting the day at the Nuriootpa Tennis Courts for the first of the ‘round robin’ qualifying games – many laughs,…

We are known for producing exceptional wines and have a range which suits a wide variety of palates and budgets, our…
by Karli Currie If you hear the name “Elderton Wines” you think of our Barossa Shiraz right? Or perhaps our Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon and its significant win of the Jimmy Watson Trophy years ago comes to mind, either way I am pretty sure a sweet wine is not the first thing that appears in your…
We love Christmas time here at Elderton Wines. Time for fun, friends, family and most importantly good wine and food! We do however understand that it can also be a stressful time of the year, and we have a few ‘Elderton Help Aids’… Firstly, time… where does it go? Between the children finishing up at…
I fully recognise and admit that I am very fortunate getting to travel the world to talk all things Elderton, it normally gives rise to meeting some great people and a few fun stories here and there. I have just landed back in Australia after spending 2 weeks on the road in the US. One…
