We’ve recently enjoyed tasting some older wines at Cellar Door and thought it would be great to release a small allocation of wines from the museum for you to enjoy at home.
Winemakers Comments | 2009 was a dry, mild year with a few hot weeks but harvest was generally later than normal. The fruit was harvested by hand and fermented in open top concrete fermenters with chilled ferments, hand pump-overs and cap submerging with oak header boards for eight days; the process finished with barrel ferment and malolactic fermentation in new French & American puncheons. Aromas of blackberry fruit, aniseed and spices carry through to the palate which is rich, warm and generous. - Richard Langford |

Full-bodied and powerful in the mouth, it offers a great concentration of licorice and vanilla flavors in the mouth complementing the pure berry richness with firm, rounded tannins and crisp acid supporting, finishing long and cedary.
... a beautifully balanced wine ...
