2021 Barossa Semillon
Estate Family Vineyards
Back to AllCellar Door and online only
Semillon has a very long and proud history in the Barossa Valley, and is home to the oldest vineyards of this variety anywhere in the world. We have made a dry Semillon on and off over the years, along with our dessert style wine (Golden Semillon). We feel this is the perfect time to continue to show dedication to dry Semillon, and to try to protect and promote the history and traditions of this amazing Barossa varietal well into the future.
Winemakers Comments | Harvest 2021 was picture perfect. Vines with healthy canopies and very little disease pressure allowed for gentle ripening and gave us the opportunity to harvest with some more generous flavour yet still some natural acidity. The 2021 Semillon finished ferment in barrel and remained on lees for 6 months before preparation for bottling. |
