2024 Small Victories Pinot Gris

Working with fruit from this vineyard for a second vintage, we are really happy with the quality and our understanding of the fruit, which was pristine. This allowed us to use a little skin and then lees contact to give depth and direction to the wine, which we love. - Cheers, Jules

Picked early in the morning, the pinot gris received a little skin contact in transit to the winery. We watched the press cut carefully, avoiding excess colour and phenolic pickup whilst ensuring we extracted enough body from the skins. Post fermentation we held our very small pick on lees for 10 months with occasional stirring to build creaminess and texture to balance the zesty fruit line.

Juicy and textural, with a serious edge!

Aroma: Subtle florals backed with creamy lime curd.

Taste: White peach and limes with that distinct touch of oiliness bringing balanced weight to the finish.

Food match: Perfect with a little goat curd and tomato or a spicy seafood salad with a creamy sauce.
