COMMANDER LUNCH AT THE EATERY

Experience our collaboration between Elderton Wines and The Farm Eatery Restaurant, for the Commanders menu - showcasing Barossa food and wine. Enjoy a carefully curated menu featuring two Barossa families who have persevered and shown the determination to continue to do what they do well for over 40 years. 

A 6 course menu is available with two wine options:

Paired with wines matched to each course, including Command Shiraz - $190 per person
or
Share a 375 mL bottle of 2018 Command Shiraz - $150 per person

FIRST ACCESS TO NEW VINTAGES

Commanders receive first access to new vintages of our Elite wines through email pre-release offers. Command Shiraz and Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon are available from 1 August (public release 1 September). You will receive an email on this day with all the details. Great to take advantage of so you can stock your cellar early!

GUEST HOUSE STAY

You are entitled to one free night*, for up to six people, at the Elderton Guest House per financial year. Our Guest House is located close to Cellar Door, in Nuriootpa, in the heart of the Barossa Valley. The Ashmead family have enjoyed hosting many visitors over the years, and now offer Guest House accommodation to the public. Situated only a short walk from Elderton’s Cellar Door, this is a great base for any Barossa visit, with full kitchen, laundry and sleeping available for up to six people. This reward is worth $520.

Priority invites and Commander ticket pricing

Commanders receive priority invitation to events, at Cellar Door and interstate, including dinners in your home state. You receive event invites by email at least a week before Eldertonians. A week later bookings open to the general public. This was especially important for one interstate dinner held recently as Commanders booked 85% of seats before general bookings opened.

We also offer special Commander ticket pricing for events, as a small token of our appreciation for your support. You will notice two pricing levels for events - Commanders and Eldertonians. To access the Commander price, please log in with your online Commander account.

Commander private tasting at Cellar Door

Commanders are able to annually book a complimentary private tasting at Cellar Door, for up to six (6) people, hosted by Cameron, Allister or Jodhi. This reward is worth $720. We know that you know our wines, but we enjoy being able to talk about them with you with a glass in hand. When booking your tasting, let us know what you'd like to look at. Maybe it's a new release, or maybe a wine that you haven't yet tried but would like to know more about. Maybe you'd like to do a Shiraz comparison tasting or look at wines for cellaring. This is also a great opportunity to share the experience with your friends or family: a great introduction to the Elderton story and our wines. We look forward to seeing you in Cellar Door for your private tasting!

Referral gifts

Current Commanders have the opportunity to receive referral gifts for the introduction of new Commanders.

Access to the Commander Concierge service

If you are visiting the Barossa, contact us and we can put together an itinerary of winery visits, dining options and other great Barossa activities for you to enjoy. We have relationships with a number of wineries and restaurants giving us great access to make bookings on your behalf. If the Elderton Guest House is not available for you to book, we are also able to arrange corporate rate accommodation at The Vine Inn, which is walking distance from Elderton.

FIRST ACCESS TO SPECIAL RELEASES

First access to new vintage Helbig 1915 Shiraz, which is a special release wine in certain vintages. You will also have first access to Cellar Door only releases, such as Western Ridge Shiraz and Bullet Shiraz which were offered in 2019/20.

ACCESS TO THE ASHMEAD BROTHERS FOR WINE ADVICE

Allister and Cameron love talking about wine! No surprise there...

If you have questions about wine in your cellar or wines you might like to cellar, Allister and Cameron are available to answer your questions. They also welcome enquiries if you have an upcoming event and would like to discuss suitable wines and what might be available for purchase.

COMMANDER LOUNGE & DINING

Commanders are welcome to access the private Commander Lounge & Dining Room, by prior booking. Relax in the lounge with a glass of wine and cheese plate, arrange a light lunch or private dining experience for yourself and friends or colleagues.

Please contact Jodhi to book, or for assistance in planning a special tasting experience. We ask that you book ahead of time so that we can ensure we have set the room to provide you with the best level of service.

Elderton pool and tennis court

You will have access to the Elderton Cellar Door swimming pool and lawn tennis court *subject to availability.

You can book ahead of time, for a relaxing and fun afternoon at Cellar Door, after a busy day of touring the Barossa.

Exclusive access to museum releases from the Ashmead family cellar.
