Remote Wine Tasting with Allister – Shiraz

11 April 2020

We hosted our first ever remote wine tasting on Facebook live tonight. Great job to Allister and Rebecca for being on camera and behind the camera!

On 4 April we put a call out to our Facebook followers for the Elderton Shiraz they might have in their cellar and be willing to open at the same time as Allister for a remote wine tasting. Some great suggestions came in and we chose the 2012 Barossa Shiraz, 2017 Neil Ashmead Grand Tourer Shiraz and the 2008 Command Shiraz as our three wines for the evening.

See below the replay of the tasting with Allister:

We’ll be holding a Cabernet Sauvignon focused remote wine tasting in a couple of weeks on Instagram Live, on Friday 24 April, with Cameron as the host. Maybe you’d like to make some suggestions of Elderton Cabernets that you would like to open with Cameron – your suggestions can be emailed to jess@eldertonwines.com.au before Monday, 20 April.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in to the live tasting, or has enjoyed watching it at a later time. Whilst we can’t have visitors to Cellar Door, or come and do dinners and tastings in your home states at this time, we hope these remote wine tastings are a nice connection to our family and our wine.

Cheers and stay safe, from the Ashmead family and the team at Elderton
