Cellar Door Update – Covid-safe
From Wednesday, 28 July we are open again for seated wine tastings.
We continue operating at a reduced capacity of 1 person per 4 square metres, and as Cellar Door is a shared indoor public space masks are required to be worn while purchasing your wine. You must also check-in as you enter the building.

As per level 4 restrictions that came into place at midnight, Cellar Door is only open for takeaway wine sales today until 5pm. We are operating at a reduced capacity of 1 person per 4 square metres, and as Cellar Door is a shared indoor public space masks are required to be worn while purchasing your wine. You must also check-in as you enter the building.
Wine tastings and food consumption are not available at this time. We are contacting all people with bookings, to arrange a rescheduled time or refund.
From tomorrow during the SA lockdown, you will be able to pre-order wine for pick-up from our Cellar Door carpark – please call Cellar Door on 08 8568 7878. Online ordering is available as per usual and you can call Cellar Door on 08 8568 7878 between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

COVID SAFE – WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM OUR CELLAR DOOR TEAM
We are pleased to be in a position to welcome you to our beautiful Cellar Door in the Barossa and are working hard to follow best practice protocols to help keep our visitors, our team and our community Covid-safe.
As per Government directions, all visitors are required to check in by scanning the displayed QR code on their mobile phone. Information from this check in will be collected and stored securely by the South Australian Government in one place for 28 days, and only released to SA Health for official contact tracing purposes.
If you do not have a mobile phone, you will be required to enter your information on the paper recording log next to the QR code.
We also note the following:
- Upon entry/exit we encourage the use of the hand sanitiser provided
- We accept contactless method of payment for purchases
- We are following social distancing recommendations of 1.5m and ask that you do the same
- All high frequency touch points are being cleaned and sanitised hourly
- If you are feeling unwell or have any cold/flu symptoms please do not enter our Cellar Door, but reschedule your visit to a time when you feeling better.

We are open over the long weekend. Due to limits on the number of people able to be inside Cellar Door at any one time, bookings are recommended. 1 hour bookings available throughout the day – please call to book if you’d like to visit – phone 8568 7878.

Bookings recommended. 1 hour bookings available throughout the day. Max 10 people inside so please call to book if you’d like to visit – phone 8568 7878.
Our Food and Wine Flight and Elite Tasting wine experiences are available for booking. The Shiraz Masterclass and Chocolate and Wine Matching – a menu item must be purchased to accompany the wine experience.

Yesterday the South Australian Government updated guidelines for wineries, cellar doors, breweries and distilleries and we are pleased to now be allowed to again offer takeaway wine sales from our Cellar Door.
Takeaway wine sales are available from 10am – 5pm on weekdays and 11am – 4pm on weekends. Please call us to pre-order and pay over the phone, we will then pack your order for collection from our carpark – phone 08 8568 7878.
Our amazing staff are still on deck to answer questions about our wines and help find the best wine for you, even if you can’t taste the range.
Our online shop is always open, and members receive free delivery around Australia for orders over $150. We are stocked with wine and ready to ship it to your door!

Whilst Cellar Door is no longer able to open for wine tastings, wine experiences or dining, we are still able to meet you out the front of the building for takeaway wine sales. At this point in time, think of us as your friendly Elderton bottle-o!
Takeaway wine sales are available from 10am – 5pm on weekdays and 11am – 4pm on weekends. You can pre-order and pay over the phone for collection from our carpark – phone 08 8568 7878 – or make your decisions when you arrive and pay by card (no cash sales). Our amazing staff are still on deck to answer questions about our wines and help find the best wine for you, even if you can’t taste the range.

If you would like to have your parcel left at your address if you are not there, rather than needing to go to the post office to collect it, at the checkout please tick the box that you give authority for the delivery to be left and provide the instructions for the location eg under side verandah.

Let’s start by saying as a small, family-owned business we certainly appreciate the support of our loyal Eldertonians and Commanders. We hope you are safe and well.
At this time, our Cellar Door remains open and we are welcoming visitors to our beautiful part of the Barossa. As is always the case, we have the health and safety of our staff and customers at the forefront of our minds. We are therefore committed to adhering to best practice and are following government guidelines to keep you safe.
