The Elderton Tennis Classic – A Unique Barossa Winery Experience

The Elderton Tennis Classic

On Sunday the 12th of November 2017 we are excitingly introducing a new event to our winery diary. With wineries quite often searching for unique events that allow them to share their wine, hospitality and stories with their customers, old and new, we feel this is going to be something pretty special.

A mixed doubles tennis tournament with Fast4 rules that will be held on our special grass court right here at our new Cellar Door. With great prizes up for grabs and the aim of everyone having a fun day of tennis, food and wine in the Barossa we believe this event will be one not to miss, this year, and in the years to come.

With two categories, “Here to Win” and “Here to Wine” everyone (over 18 years of age) can participate, regardless of their tennis skill. Perfect for those that love a serious hit of the racket as well as those who ‘socially’ give the yellow ball a hit. Champions take home wine to the value of $1000 (RRP), plus there will be prizes for runners-up, best dressed and more.

Not only showcasing Elderton Wines but the beautiful Barossa, this event has the early Knockout/Round Robin rounds being played throughout the morning, across eight hardcourts at the Nuriootpa Tennis Club. The finals will then be on the grass centre court at Elderton Wines in the early afternoon and into the evening. Local food, wine and beer will be available for purchase with a portion of the purchases supporting the Nuriootpa Tennis Club as a major fundraiser.Nuriootpa Tennis Club Logo

Registration is $100 per mixed double pairing which includes two Elderton sweatbands and two Elderton wine glasses with the first glass of wine (glasses and wine value $48)

There are a couple of conditions for registration, players must be 18+ years and are required to sign registration forms including terms & conditions before taking part. Registrations close on the 1st of November 2017 (unless full) and can be done at https://eldertonwines.com.au/product/tennis

Make sure you get along, even if you are not playing for what is sure to be a unique Barossa winery experience.

Cheers!
